You may have noticed the recently poured concrete slab at Marquette School and wondered about its purpose. As part of the District’s decennial Health, Life, and Safety inspection, our architect has identified the existing outbuildings for demolition.
In preparation, the District is constructing a replacement structure—a three-bay garage—to support storage and maintenance needs. This new facility will not only provide safer storage for items currently housed in the outbuildings, but will also protect District vehicles and the salt spreader from the elements.
A portion of this project is being supported through grant funding, helping to offset costs to the District.
The structure’s location was carefully selected to improve safety and maintain clear visibility for staff supervising the playground during the school day.
