MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985. One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”. The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student. The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

	We are so excited that Libbie was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Schlottman had to say about her... The student of the week in my class has shown great improvement in following directions and listening. This student has been kind to everyone and will often make pictures at home for ALL their friends in the class. This student is helpful in that they are the first to help out a friend or teacher in need, whether it is comforting a sad friend, or helping to pick up a mess. This student is also courteous and respectful, especially during our lessons and work times. I am so proud of how far this student has come so far. Our student of the week is Libbie!
	We are so excited that Scarlett was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Miss Jackson had to say about her...Student of the week time and it is first round pick for my lovely firsties. I know just who to pick too! This person has been such a joy to have in class since she has started here. She is so smart, kind and caring to others in our room and a great helper too. Any time of the day I could see what she is doing and it is always the right thing. She is constantly following directions and such a great role model for other students. She is so funny and curious and we are so glad she came to Marquette to join our class. That is why I chose Scarlett as my student of the week! Congratulations Scarlett, keep up the amazing work! :)
	We are so excited that Kensleigh was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Russell had to say about her... I'm so excited to announce our student of the week! This student is new to our school this year and is a ray of sunshine! This student tries hard in class each day and is a great friend to others. She is respectful, responsible, and always ready to learn. She is kind, smart, and very thoughtful. She is beautiful on the inside and out and has been a wonderful addition to our class. Keep up the great work, Kensleigh!
	We are so excited that Izzy was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. M had to say about her... I'm excited to choose the student of the week even though choosing the student of the week is always tricky. I see many students trying their best and working hard. While making my decision, I thought about who always tries their hardest, is kind to everyone, follows our 3Rs, and is willing to help others whenever they need it. The student that came to my mind and checked all these boxes is Izzy! Congratulations, Izzy! Keep up the great work!
