MARQUETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Starting with the week of October 4, 2013, we began a new program honoring Mrs. Ohlman, who was the principal of Marquette Elementary School during 1966-1985. One student in our school is chosen to be “Student of the Week”. The student is chosen by their teacher. Each week, a different class and grade has the honor of selecting one student. The student will have their picture taken and placed in the plaque in the front foyer.

	We are so excited that Octavia was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Underwood had to say about her... Picking a student of the week is a tough job! After thinking about all the students who represent the 3 R's well... I chose one that stood out the most. She is respectful, responsible, and always ready to learn. She is quiet, helpful, and incredibly kind to her classmates, especially when someone needs a little extra help. She is always willing to lend a hand and be a supportive friend. You can often spot her around school sporting the cutest braids! We are so lucky to have Octavia in our class.
	We are so excited that London was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Miller had to say about her... I am so excited to pick another student of the week this week!! This week I chose a GIRL. This girl is so incredibly kind to everyone in our class! She regularly helps others and tries her best to include everyone. If she notices someone is having a hard time, she is the first one to go to them to see if she can help them feel better! She is the kind of student that every teacher wants to have in their class!! I am so proud of her and the person that she is!! This week I chose London to be the Student of the Week!
	We are so excited that Ella was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Russell had to say about her... I am so excited to choose another student of the week! This student is always respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. This girl is a great friend to others and is always smiling! She wants to be successful, participates every day, and tries her best! She has been working so hard to get her work done on time. Ella always has a positive attitude and brightens up our classroom every day! I am so lucky to have Ella in my class! Congratulations Ella, you are the student of the week!
	We are so excited that Addalynn was chosen as our next "Golden Rule Student of the Week"! Here is what Mrs. Medavarapu had to say about her... Choosing the student of the week is always a tough choice to make since I have so many wonderful students in my class. I had to stop and really think about who always goes above and beyond just being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. I took into consideration compliments I have received from other teachers about my students, the kind actions I have noticed my students doing even when they think no one is watching, and their overall attitude. I'm excited to announce that Addalynn is our student of the week! Addalynn you are a sweet, caring, kind student. Keep up the amazing job just being you!
