PROPOSALS for MOWING SERVICES
The North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District No. 102 is currently seeking proposals for lawn mowing at all three of the District properties for the 2024 season. Specifications for proposals are included. Submitted proposals are to be submitted to the District Office (51 Yates Rd., Marquette Heights, IL) by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024.

CONDITIONS
Specifications for proposals:
Will include total cost for mowing all three facilities as well as per mow cost for each facility for all items to be completed that would be on a time and material basis.
Will furnish all equipment, and the price must include all labor, material and fees.
Must provide a Certificate of Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance.
Will not subcontract out any portion of this Contract.
Will provide proof of criminal background checks on employees that will be on school property.
Will ensure that all employees are appropriately attired when on school property.
An optional second year can be submitted for consideration with this proposal.
Final acceptance of proposal will be made by the Board of Education of North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District 102.
All proposals are due no later than 10:00 a.m. on March 15, 2024. Submissions should be sealed and marked as “Mowing Proposal”.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR LAWN MOWING
The areas included for the mowing are:
Marquette Elementary School, 100 Joliet Rd., Marquette Heights, IL
Rogers Professional Development Center, 109 Rogers Rd., North Pekin, IL
Georgetowne Middle School, 51 Yates Rd., Marquette Heights, IL

All lawn areas are to be mowed to maintain turf height of 3”. No growth, whether alive, dying or dead will be allowed to exceed 5”.

No lawn mowing will be allowed in areas adjacent to school buildings when classes are in session. Areas adjacent to schools must be mowed after school is dismissed, or weekends, or holidays.

No mowing is allowed in playground areas when students are present. If students arrive in areas being mowed, mowing crews will move to unoccupied areas.

Trimming around all buildings, fences and all areas unable to be mowed will be completed at the time of each mowing. This will include, but not be limited to, all areas along sidewalks, walkways, public access areas, bleachers, storage sheds, garages and parking lots.
